Goddess of Trigonometry

This work serves as the front and back cover of a doctoral thesis. Due to the complexity and abstract nature of the subject, it became necessary to develop a visual language and symbolism that could help represent trigonometry and its three relational systems: elementary, oriented (or goniometric), and analytical.

Trigonometry is the branch of mathematics that allows us to measure any angle or segment using known segments and angles. Ancient civilizations such as the Babylonian, Egyptian, and Greek used it to divide agricultural land or navigate by the stars.

All of this served as inspiration for the creation of a deity figure symbolizing trigonometry and the measurement of these systems through a sextant.
